About Absolute Poker

Absolute Poker was established in 2003 and regulated by the Canadian Government. The site runs on the CERUS poker network and support is available through e-mail, LIVE Chat and by telephone.

Sign up at Absolute Poker and experience some of the best site traffic USA Internet Poker sites have to offer. Being part of the CERUS poker network, Absolute Poker has big multi table tournaments and low to high stakes ring games available at all hours.

Absolute Poker also has a bad beat jackpot and accepts ACH eChecks as a deposit method which is a huge plus in our book.

In Depth Absolute Poker Review

Bonus Review:

It is our experience that Absolute Poker is the most aggressive established USA Internet Poker site as it relates to bonuses. Not only do they offer a great sign up bonus, they also regularly offer re-deposit bonuses as well. The re-deposit bonuses are offered on a weekly basis and range from a 10% - 100% match bonus. If you take full advantage of these re-load bonuses you can easily add over $200 to your bankroll weekly at relatively low stakes.

The Absolute Poker Bonus is released in $5 increments upon earning Absolute Reward and Status Points. It is a tiered system of earning points with the more you play the quicker you earn Status and the Bonus is released. Initially for tournament fees you earn 1 point for every $.30 in fees paid, so for example you would earn 10 points for a $30+$3 tournament. In ring games it is based on raked hands. An example is at $.25-$.50 stakes you earn 1 point for every 3 hands. Upon earning 16 points $1 of bonus money is released, but again the more you play the quicker the bonus is released.

Games Offered:

Absolute Poker offers all variety of games including Fixed, Pot Limit and No Limit Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo and Razz. They offer a host of sit'n go and multi table tournaments. Sit'n Go's are offered at 1 on 1, 6 seated and 10 seated and with a variety of blind levels. Play at regular levels (10 Minute Blinds), Turbo (5 Minute Blinds) or Ultra Turbo where the blinds increase every 2.5 minutes.

Absolute Poker also offers a Bad Beat Jackpot and Blackjack.

Poker Review - Banking:

Absolute Poker has some great banking options for USA players. Credit cards work well here from within the poker client. If multiple transactions are attempted many times it may decline, however a 1-800 number will appear and after placing a call we always had our transaction approved. We only experienced the credit card decline after making more than two subsequent deposits.

Absolute Poker also offers eChecks, Western Union, Money Gram, eWallet Xpress and accepts Bank Wires. Withdraw options include Western Union, Money Gram and Check.

Site Traffic Review:

With the merger of Ultimate Bet and creating the Cereus poker network, the site traffic is above average. During peak times you can find the game of your choice at all stakes levels. During off peak times generally the highest stakes found are $10/$20 ring games and $200 buy in tournaments. Higher stakes can begin, however you would generally have to open the table and wait a few minutes.

Customer Service:

Absolute Poker offers great customer service. Whether you have a question about deposits, withdraws a tournament or a particular hand, you can use Live Chat, e-mail or actually talk to someone over the phone. All inquiries were handled quickly and accurately during our poker review.

Player Competition:

As with most Internet Poker Sites, at lower levels the competition is relatively weak. As you progress up the blind levels at Absolute Poker, players seem to become tighter and tighter, as many of them are just interested in clearing their bonuses that are offered so frequently. It is our experience that a solid aggressive player can fair pretty well here. As with all poker you first need to get to know your opponents, as very often you can find yourself sitting with a table of players who will not take many chances and you take down some pots by being aggressive.
